It's Only Lunch
I read recently about a new company, created in New York City for the sole purpose of setting up lunch meetings for busy singles. It seems these professional singles are so busy they do not have the time to do all of the work necessary to establish a dating relationship with someone of the opposite sex. So the new company gets the personal information on each of its customers and matches the men and women up for lunch dates.
This may seem like a great idea, but if you think about it, it is a stupid one. If the people participating in the lunches do not have the time to do the work necessary to find others to date, how will they have the time to invest in any sort of meaningful relationships?
